CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOH RUNGA JEWELLERY
GENERAL CARE Clean your jewellery regularly, using a professional jewellery cleaning product. Always avoid swimming when wearing your jewellery. Chlorine in swimming pools can damage all metals and can erode silver and gold jewellery. Avoid wearing your Boh Runga jewellery when performing very physical tasks such as cleaning, gardening or sporting activities.
Be aware of any tarnish which may occur as a result of oxidation. This is caused by the interaction of silver or gold plated jewellery with certain elements such as oxygen or sulphur as well as with certain acids. Always read the manufacturers instructions before wearing.
GOLD If your jewellery is exposured to water always thoroughly dry it afterwards. Always keep gold jewellery away from harsh chemicals like household cleaning fluids as they create abrasions and reduce the lustre of the metal. Cleaning using warm water and a very mild detergent free soap., and dry well.
GOLD PLATED Boh Runga gold plated jewellery is composed of a thin layer of 9 carat gold on sterling silver. Always use non-abrasive cleaning materials. A strong cleaning substance may remove the gold. Do not expose Boh Runga jewellery to any chemicals including perfume, nail polish removers or hairspray. Clean in a mild detergent free soap or liquid diluted in water. Use a polish cloth, and avoid old or strong jewellery cleaners. If you do not wear gold plated jewellery on a day to day basis, you will enjoy it for much longer. Gold and re-plating of gold plate items can be offered on request. STERLING SILVER Always thoroughly dry your silver jewellery after exposure to water or humidity. Use a professional jewellery cleaning product when cleaning Boh Runga silver jewellery.
